Part of the North Karelia Biosphere Reserve, this region is characterized by extensive forests, peatlands, and lakes. The focus is on sustainable resource use, water quality, and climate resilience. We collaborate with the Koitajoki-Koitere stakeholder group and local authorities to support ongoing planning efforts.
